What Happens During a Cardiology Examination?
Your first cardiology visit begins with a detailed history. Your doctor will ask about your symptoms, medical history, medications, family history, and lifestyle.
Physical examination includes blood pressure measurement, heart and lung auscultation, and checking neck and leg vessels. An ECG is usually performed.
Additional tests (echocardiography, Holter, stress test, blood work) may be ordered based on symptoms and findings.
Bring a list of your medications and previous test results to expedite the evaluation.
